How to vote to stay with your current union (MNA-UMPNC) in the election:
Select the 1st option on your ballot: the Michigan
Nurses Association (MNA) and its University of Michigan Professional Nurse Council (UMPNC).
Ensure there are NO additional or stray marks on your ballot. Any additional marks will cause your vote to not be counted. Do not cut or tear your ballot in any way.
Place your ballot in the white envelope with the words “SECRET BALLOT” on it.
Do NOT mark the Secret Ballot Envelope in any way.
Place the Secret Ballot Envelope into the larger outer envelope.
On the Outer Envelope complete BOTH blank items (SIGNATURE and CITY)
in the box on the Outer Envelope or your vote may not be counted.
Sign the Envelope on the line marked “SIGNATURE.”
Do NOT print your name. If you do not sign your Outer Envelope your ballot will not be counted.
On the “CITY” line list the city you reside in.
The "EMPLOYER" line should arrive already filled out and there is no need to add anything further. If for some reason your line is blank write ‘Regents of the University of Michigan’.
Again, you must SIGN (not print) your signature on the signature line in order for your vote to be counted.
Place a stamp on the outer envelope and mail your ballot in right away.
To ensure your vote is counted, send your ballot in as quickly as possible to avoid delays. Your ballot must be received before the MERC count begins in order to be counted.
